Message from Kay

It's time you heard from Kay. Kelly is an amazing writer and I appreciate her keeping all of you up to date. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate your prayers and concern. Your comments have been encouraging, inspiring and we feel your love. This has been a very challenging 18 days for both of us in different ways. We are both tired physically and emotionally and can finally rest now that we are home. Milan probably did not sleep more than three or four hours at a stretch for the last 18 days. In the last few days, I am finally feeling the emotions from all I experienced and I have alternated between crying and feeling angry that no doctor came into our room for nine hours on the day he ended up in emergency surgery. We were told by a number of different people that Milan may not be here today if he did not have such a strong heart. All the medical people gasped when they heard how much fluid was around his heart. (Almost 7 cups). It is God's work that he is alive and I'm so thankful.

It's funny how we forget be thankful for the little thing until they are taken away. Eating, bodily functions and just going outside into fresh air are all things we take for granted until we cannot do them. Last night (our last night in the hospital) we danced (obviously it was slow dance) in our room to Frank Santria's "Fly Away With Me". What a joy to be able to share that moment. We both cried.

Keep praying for us that we can regain our energy for ministry and heal from the trama of the whole experience. I was strong when I needed to be, but now I feel exhausted and tearful. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read, pray and fight the spiritual battle with us. We love you all and are grateful that we have the hope of heaven where every tear will be wiped away and we shall be completely healed, phycially, emotionally and experience all God as stored up for us in our eternal home.

Love, Kay

Welcome home! What a huge relief to learn that Milan is out of the hospital. Hallelujah! I know complete recovery is down the road a little ways, but we will be grateful for the moment and the promise of a continued healthy heartbeat. You're right, Kay - we are inclined to take the everyday things for granted. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Kay and Milan,

Our hearts dance with you as we hear this wonderful wonderful news. Yes, nothing compares to home, especially with a tight family Milan proudly has.

As I think back the holding time you and Milan demonstrated back in April at our church, Milan was sharing his heart and concern about the potential negative outcome of this surgery. His voice broke when he said he wasn't sure how much he should talk with each of his dear children about this... Now, realizing there were indeed close-call moments, I can't help to feel overflowing appreciation to God of His protection and rejoicing over this great news of coming home.

Kay, thanks for writing. You and Milan are so dearly on our hearts. During this past 18 days, you, Milan, and Kelly are still showing/teaching me what it means to "feel and deal" about life circumstances. What a privilege it is to know the Yerkovich family in such a personal way.

We look forward to having you come back and have some good Chinese food with us. :-)

Love, James and Melinda (TOL church, Fremont, Ca.)

Milan,Yeepee!!!! Home!

You are right Kay there's no place like a warm and loving home. I am grateful that we have such a loving and glorious God that he carried all of the Yerkovich family through this time. Milan all of us on Monday night got a chuckle when Eric told us what you wanted everyone to get out of Jerry's talk on forgiveness, he was splendid by the way.
Kay, Milan is such a blessed and fortunate man to have wife who examples Christ to her husband and to all of us who have followed Milan's progress. Your love and support gives hope to many of us that having a bonded and clovingly connected marriage is possible. I believe I speak for many of us when I say that we have been blessed by the both of you even through this difficult time. You both have been so transformed by the healing power of the Holy Spirit that I am so encouraged to know that the same transformation and healing are possible in our lives with God, people around us who love and support us, and the wonderful blessings of your sharing the attachment material with all of us.

With all my love and support,

Steve Sposato

Hey Milan
I hope that you and Kay are holding up and hangin in there. Welcome Home!
There is a West African proverb that says "When there are tears, it is because, 'Someone The Soul Loves Is Nearbye'". My tears and prayers mix together to send blessings and gratitude. I hope you and Kay both come to feel each others embrace of strength, vulnerability and encouragement again soon. And, that in some form, our prayers have held you as you both have held and taught so many of us to hold or risk to be held again. Blessings for Complete Healing,
Clay King

Milan, glad to hear you are at home at last. We have become somewhat addicted to reading Kelly's blog and keeping up with your progress (I even check it on my Blackberry) and will miss reading it. Adversity brings us closer to God, and by keeping up with your struggle, those who read this blog have been drawn closer to Him as well.

Kelly, your parents must be very proud of you. Your blog caused your Dad to receive many prayers as we learned of his progress and needs. Well done!!

This painful experience you have endured will doubtless be used in your ministry to help others in the future. I wonder if a new book might come out of this (How we heal?). But for now, just rest and regain your strength.

To God be the Glory!!

Praise God for carrying you, and your family through this ordeal and bringing Milan, our dear sensitive giant, back home again. You mentioned that in Heaven, God will wipe away all of our tears, and indeed that is true. I would like to remind you that hear and now He is collecting our tears in a bottle (Ps 56:8) when He holds you tightly and carries you through this/ other events. One day you'll see that bottle and realise just how close He was.

But for now, please be assured of my continual prayers.

Good to hear from you, Kay. It sounds like Milan beat some odds; proof that God is in control and He decides when and how He takes us home. How gracious He is when we get to keep our loved ones a bit longer.

Thank you for sharing the part about being strong then but tearful and exhausted now. That's identical to how I process things so I understood and was touched by your sharing.

Milan; we're glad you're still with us! What an ordeal!!!

God bless you both,
