As my fingers type, I am brushing my teeth and printing all these sweet comments for my Dad. I'm on my way back up to UCLA today after a day at home to pay bills, water plants, run errands, and get a clean supply of clothes for mom.

Doctors decided not to use a needle to draw the fluid out of Dad'd lungs. Instead, they're hoping the right medicines will do the trick. I think he feels done being stuck with things. I believe Dad will move from ICU to the floor today. Pray for good nurses. Doctors want Dad to lose 10 pounds of fluid before he can come home. He's been walking tons to try and speed the process along.

Lots of love. Thank for the prayers and support. Reading your comments makes me cry.

Dear Milan, Kay, and family.

Now checking this blog daily becomes almost as essential as doing daily devotion! I find my heart yearns to read the latest news and prayerfully hope every day Milan is improved more and more. Thank you so much Kelly. You truly have the gift of writing, not only to describe what's happening but also to connect dearly with people's hearts.

Now I understand why God gives the word "perseverance." We surely need it in time like this. Both you mom and dad shine in this area. May God who gave eternal encouragement and good hope continue to encourage and strengthen your whole family.

Love, James and Melinda from TOL, Fremont, Calif.

Dear Milan,Kay and loved ones,
I will continue to pray for you all. Milan this whole thing is scary and I don't like it. Please, get better quick. I know the Lord will give you a mircale for His glory. I keep asking the Lord to relieve your pain. Are you drinking enough water... since you are moving alot so you can leave the hospital. I'm sure alot of people are keeping you in their radar. I prayed the Lord would give you peaceful dreams. May The Lord Bless You.

Dear All,
It's me,again.I just wanted to clear up something The lack of water can cause neck pain but,I'm sure your avoiding fluids because you have to much. My son has kidney problems and pineapple and watermelon are good for the kidneys. Can someone get you fresh fruit to help your kidneys do their job. I also know that God already is working His miracle on you. Don't give up! Thank-you God for being with Milan... please, continue your mighty works.

Dear Milan & Kay, We wanted you to know that we are praying for you both. You have been down a long and hard road. We have used your How We Love material this past year for our Sunday School class and can't even begin to tell you the depth of healing that has occurred for many. May you feel God's perfect provision of strength, joy, love and grace as you experience the blessings and struggles before you. We are so thankful for all God has done through you to enhance our marriage and those around us. Blessings to you both. Sincerely, Steve & Lisa Anderson, Camano Island, WA
(Thank You Kelly for including your link on their email list!:) after releasing both of my grandparents into the arms of Jesus this past year. They were my "positive imprinters" I understand the importance of communication with others and the beauty of sharing prayer requests!)

Dear Ones,

so glad to hear you may get back to a regular room today!

Thanks, Kelly, for keeping us up with what we should be praying for.

Another thing good for the kidneys is cranberry juice. Hope some of these lay people ideas can help, too.

Praying for a swift recovery, fluid to leave and not to return, the doctors and all your caretakers' wisdom and discernment, good and restful sleep for both Kay & Milan & Kelly & all the rest of your family, and God's peace and comfort for each of you.

With much love and caring, Nancy

Milan-
I cam so excited to find this blog, so I can know how you are doing. I listen to you on NewLifeLive, and feel as though I know you personally. You are such a blessing, and emanate Gods love, your wisdom, kindness, and genuine concern for your callers. I cannot say enough for how much I have learned.
I continue to pray for your complete recovery and rehab. As a nurse, I understand what you are going through, and pray that you have the best of nurses and doctors around you!

Dear Kelly,
We are the Edes and live in Sequim, WA. We have known your Dad since his days of pastoring a church of his own. We have always admired him and loved sitting under his teaching. You are a precious family and we are so delighted that we can pray for you and your family. Please greet your Dad for us and know that God has a very special purpose for all of this - what a blessing to pass a testing of your faith.

Thanks so much, Kelly, for the continued updates on Milan. I always read them first thing when I get to dad's house, as he wants to know what's happening.

We continue to lift Milan up to the Lord for His great healing power to be released in Milan's body. Also for Kay, you and the rest of the family.

Dear Milan and Kay and the whole fam,

The body of Christ is amazing, and prayer is a powerful thing. We heard through Craig and Shirley (who heard at church) about Milan's surgery and we were shocked. Kelly, your updates had me in tears. Your love for your dad shows incredibly. God's not done yet, and it sounds as though each step of the way is progress. We will pray for proper communication between all the doctors, for all the correct diagnostic tests to happen, and for complete healing of both lungs and heart. Hang in there Milan, God sure is going to use this for your greater GOOD and His greater GLORY!!!! Kay, we're praying for you too as you endure the heartache and long days alongside your man. You guys are a strong team.
Much love! We'll be praying....love, Dave and Katie Sherreitt
